A/N: So I wrote the majority of this in the car one day (I wasn't driving, no worries) after a very entertaining twitter conversation with margieruns. Bittersweet Symphony was playing, hence the title. Basically I don't think Sam and Gail ever happened but if they did, I hope it happened like this.
